I was so pleased to announce the new Lee Westwood Golf  Academy, which took place at nine different venues throughout the UK the summer (20th - 29th July). These were three-day academies ranging from beginners to would-be mini-me's ( for boys and girls from 7 - 16 years of age), where you could improve your golf and have a lot of fun. 

I teamed up with Activate Sport, who hosted the academies at Addington Court Golf Centre, Croydon;  Blue Mountain Golf Club, Binfield in Berkshire; Brampton Heath Golf Club, Northamptonshire;  Chesfield Downs GC, nr Stevenage:  Elton Furze GC, nr Peterborough;  High Leigh Park CC, Knutsford;   Morley Hayes GC in Derbyshire;  Rudding Park GC, Harrogate;  The Bristol GC,  Almondsbury and the "Winner's Day" at Lindrick GC, near my home town of Worksop. My newest website was launched in November 2008 where you can read My Diary, My Career, My Sponsors, My Fans and will find Caddie's Corner. You can also find our new gallery there. Click on the Fan Page button on the new website, where you will find the Junior Page... you can even tell us about your Junior Team and see your story there.  Tell us why you are a Lee Westwood fan and you may see your photo on the Fan page.   You can now read about My Fitness (and diet) and hopefully my Golf Tips page will soon be chockablock with tips to improve your golf. 

Meanwhile, there's still plenty to read here.  You can read all my news since 1998 on this Archive site, all my successes as a Pro and an amateur can be found here too... We've also added a new "Ryder Cup" section to the menu, where you can read of my experiences in the Ryder Cup since 1997. You can also check out our Other Stuff menu on this site. Read "Looking Back", about my early years (work in progress... there's a lot of it!). See  "Will the Real Lee Westwood..." please stand up.  There's more than one out there!  We've set up a  Careers in Golf page... you could even become a sports photographer. Read the late Phil Sheldon's story and view the photographs from his  book "Golfing Days".
